About

I'm a hard core music nerd in grad school studying music education. I woke up one day and decided it was time to have an outlet that had nothing to do with music. (Well almost nothing. I'm sure I'll weave music in here and there.) A "fashion" blog seemed like a fun idea since fashion is my guilty pleasure and I had just decided to do a shopping fast for a year.  I use the word "fashion" cautiously since I have no authority on the matter and only got into fashion during college. Before that was the era of big glasses, braces, and high wasted jeans. It's taken me a while to find my style and even now I'm using this blog to further develop it. Aside from the fact that I have to take pictures of myself with a cruddy camera and post them for the world to see and judge, I love writing this blog!

This is technically a "modest" fashion blog. As a teacher, it just doesn't make sense to have too many "skimpy" clothing items in my wardrobe. It also doesn't make sense that I have to bare it all to be sexy. Look at Audrey Hepburn and Kate Middleton. (Several of my male friends will validate this opinion.)

This is also a blog about budget-friendly and PRACTICAL fashion. I am so tired of blogs with expensive and non-reproducible outfits. I want instant gratification from my closet!
